Creation of the ‘Special Purpose Vehicle’ Watertruck+

The Flemish Government has given the permisson for the creation of a ‘Special Purpose Vehicle’ (SPV) that will introduce Watertruck+ on a wider scale on Flemish waterways.

The Flemish Waterway Authorities, Waterwegen en Zeekanaal nv en nv De Scheepvaart, and Flanders Institute for Mobility (VIM) aim to ensure that Watertruck+ will progress quickly with the aid of this „Special Purpose Vehicle.“ In concrete terms, the SPV will build a fleet of three push boats and 28 push barges. The structure of this SPV will allow private partners to participate in the project.
