Watertruck+ was present at the TEN-T Days in Rotterdam from 20th to 22nd June. Amongst the different representatives within the navigation sector, we also had the pleasure to welcome the Flemish Minister for Mobility, Ben Weyts, to our booth.

As from 2017, 31 vessels will be constructed. Therefore, the Watertruck+ partners wish to gain expert advice within the market in relation to the latest innovations within inland navigation. Market players who offer innovative services or products in any of the above categories, are invited to present their company, services and/or products to the Watertruck+ partners during the Technical info and review sessions which will take place at the venue of the in Gorinchem (NL) from 24th to 26th May. The Flemish Government has given the permisson for the creation of a ‘Special Purpose Vehicle’ (SPV) that will introduce Watertruck+ on a wider scale on Flemish waterways.
The Flemish Waterway Authorities, Waterwegen en Zeekanaal nv en nv De Scheepvaart, and Flanders Institute for Mobility (VIM) aim to ensure that Watertruck+ will progress quickly with the aid of this „Special Purpose Vehicle.“ In concrete terms, the SPV will build a fleet of three push boats and 28 push barges. The structure of this SPV will allow private partners to participate in the project.
